![]() I am really impressed with the quality of the board. It utilizes a quality FATAR TP-100 L hammer action/ weighted setup. The Keylab 88, as I'm sure you know, isn't plagued with the same keybed issues reported on the smaller versions. In the end, I "settled" on the Akai MPK261 and the Keylab 88. Opinions? Would you buy the Keylab?I spent literally six months shopping around for the perfect controller. There's a used keylab 88 for $650, I'm about to cave in and buy it. Then I'd buy a fp30 instead of the keylab. I'd really have preferred if the fp30 had proper 5 pin midi out like the Keylab 88. I guess I can also just buy a yamaha p45 or a roland fp30 or a similar digital piano, but those don't tend to have midi outs, which really surprised me. There's the Kontrol S88, but it seems like thats mostly only for NI's software, and keylab seems like a better "ableton controller" than the kontrol s88. There's the MPK88, but Ive heard that it has terrible feeling keys. 88 keys, midi out, easy to assign knobs, great ableton integration, i'm surprised there isn't anything out there that has a similar feature set as the keylab. The keylab 88 seems to fulfill my needs perfectly. ![]() Not pianist-grade keys, but it should be as good as a beginner digital piano (at least as good as a yamaha p45). I need a good 88 key midi controller and a bunch of knobs.ฤก) Piano like keyboard with 88 keys. ![]() ![]() Got some money to spend, figured I'd upgrade and get some real gear. ![]()
